Dahab with Egypt Uncovered

Having just returned from a trip to Dahab, I really must thank Ben Whitehead, for his fantastic organisational skills, his intuition at knowing exactly what sort of travellers we are, and for using the best guide in Dahab, Hany who accommodated our needs and requirements with flair, talent and wonderful humour.

Initially the trip started badly, due to no fault of Egypt uncovered I might add, We made the mistake of flying with Thomson from DSA, the sea of football shirts holding back enormous be… Continue

Egypt - A trip of lifetime....

We were very impressed with our trip to Egypt and Egypt Uncovered made sure that we had no difficulties during our tour. They also took care of the small things such as provision of water etc, which showed that the tour was well thought through. All coaches were air-conditioned and in very good condition which was a relief as we spent significant amount of time touring visitor attractions in the coach. The other thing that impressed us was the size of our group. We were only 15 of us which made… Continue

Hi Guys

I’ve just got back from Egypt, and I wanted to tell you a little bit about my tour. Although I have travelled to Egypt several times before, this was my first time since I started working for Egypt Uncovered. I joined the Nile Explorer tour on the 23rd May and what a great time I had!!
I arrived in Cairo a few days early to do a few Hotel inspections and meet the rest of our team, inspecting the Hotels was very useful as… Continue

Blog of a crocodile - Egypt, April 4-11

Just a quick report back on a wonderful holiday.
We are a mixed bunch - one Irish and one Scot plus their two kids and another Irish pal, living in Doha and spending Easter in Egypt. Arrived into Cairo and transferred to our hotel the Pyramid Park. Despite the sign in the lobby, if this is a 5* property then I'm the goddess Isis (about whom more later!). Pretty disappointing start to the visit - five of us wedged into a twin room with three pull-out beds and no availability for an extra room.
Me… Continue

Learning more about Egyptian History

For those of you who love Egyptian history and like me, love learning more about it, here are two suggestions that I've come across recently.

It's not always the case that the documentary channels run fresh new programmes about a subject but the Nat Geo TV channel is currently running a special series on the Secrets of Egypt. The shows are at 9pm (UK) on Tuesday evenings with the first one last night being a spe… Continue
