Hi Guys,
Many of our community site members may have already visited Egypt but many won't have visited the spectacular
Egyptian deserts.
Here at
Egypt Uncovered we offer a selection of desert tours that can be booked either as a stand alone tour or added as an extension to one of our more classic
Egyptian tours. The
Egyptian deserts are ideal for those looking to get off of the main tourist trail and see what Egypt really has to offer. Our tours combine the small oasis villages of
Bahariya,
Farafra and
Dakhla, all with their own unique cultures and customs with UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the
Valley of the Whales, located close to
Wadi Rayan. When doing one of our longer desert tours you will also have the opportunity to spend a night or two camping under the starry desert sky and visit the unusual rock formations that thrust from the landscape of the white desert.
For those with a more adventurous spirit we are also able to offer private and tailor-made tours that travel as far west as the intriguing oasis of
Siwa. Due to it's remote location,
Siwa remains very different from other parts of Egypt retaining it's own customs and even it's own language - Siwi. In addition to Siwa we also offer a unique desert trekking itinerary, which explores the beautiful desert around
Lake Nasser. Based on board our small motorboat we cruise up from
Aswan to
Abu Simbel, stopping en route to enjoy the various temples and tombs reclaimed form the rising water of the Lake, and to hike through the pristine desert scenery. Lake Nasser is also a great place for
Nile Perch fishing and this can be combined with one of our desert trekking itineraries.
More information on all of our desert tours can be found on our website or please feel free to
