Hi Maria, Many thanks for posting your experiences of your tour. I was in Egypt myself last week and your guide was happily telling me about his 'crocodiles'. A couple of updates on your itinerary - we do advertise it as using 4-star hotels, as we k…

Hi! We're the Laing family and we're on the Nile Family trip with cruise upgrade, group 2 I think. Our girls are 8 and 11, first visit to Egypt for all of us and we can't wait! We're from Aberdeen but currently living in Qatar.

Maria, your blog is wonderful. Could you kindly tell me more about Dudi -- specifically his whole name, if you know it? We are putting together a 12-person family tour of Egypt next spring, which will include a 9 year-old, 11-year old, 2 older teen-age girls, a famous architect, and an art historian. I know from an Egypt trip last May that the guide can make or break the trip, so I am trying to psych out the best guide possibilities.

Many thanks, Ann Stranahan
